Gwyneth in Miu Miu Platforms

Gwyneth Paltrow went to an Adolfo Dominguez fashion show in Madrid earlier this month. I couldn’t find a good photo of her standing up to see the dress lines, but she is wearing inky blue suede Miu Miu platform pumps with blue tights. I really like that look. It is a refreshing change from all black.

Beyonce Rehearses in High Heels All Day Long

Hot word on the street is, Beyonce rehearses in HIGH HEELS ALL DAY LONG. Dancing, folks. Choreography. In Heels. All Day Long. Doesn’t she have a pair of character dance shoes she can do that in?

If she does it in $4,000 Balenciaga cage heels like the ones above, I’m not sure if she’s amazing or just insane. Probably both. I do not want to see the podiatrist’s bills, the shoe repair bills or the credit card bills, but I can’t help but be proud of and amazed by her.

Salma Hayak in Gucci Kills Open Toe Boots

Salma Hayak was seen going out to dinner in Beverly Hills, then interviewed with Jimmy Kimmel. She wore Gucci Kills Open Toe Boots.

To look at them on the website I wasn’t that wowed but to see them on Salma, I am beginning to think they are a good lust shoe.

Rupert Sanderson for Karl Lagerfeld Spring 2010 Shoes

For the second season, shoe designer Rupert Sanderson collaborated with Karl Lagerfeld for his runway collection. If the Spring 2010 shoe looks familiar, it’s because the designs are based off two of Rupert’s best selling styles, the Asteroid and Finesse. Updates to the shoe included a heel inspired inspired by the Italian architect Gio Ponti and ankle straps that were altered so that they looped under the sole and are bolted in place. To complete the futuristic rock look Lagerfield was going for, a shot of Karl as a guitar hero was spray-stenciled on the front of the shoes.

Shoe Showdown: Brian Atwood Lola Pumps

Whether or not you like super skinny Rachel Zoe, stylist to the stars, you have to admit Zoe has a pretty keen eye for dressing her clients. So it should come as no surprise when Zoe issued her first Zoe Report on Brian Atwood’s Lola Platforms, they would be a hit. Here’s what Zoe had to say about the Atwood’s shoes:

…Atwood consistently brings my sole fantasies to life—and he has outdone himself with the Lola Platform Pumps… sexy elastic detailing and high platform—I DIE. With fall just around the corner, these shooties* are a must-have transitional piece to help you segue through the seasons. That is, they’re relevant to your summer and fall wardrobe. To the wearer, the possibilities are endless. Lola’s eighties punk-meets-luxury aesthetic will bring your little black dress to life. The pumps are also perfect for upgrading a more casual look (think: dark skinny jeans, a tee and tuxedo jacket), so don’t be scared to rock them during the day.

As these celebrities demonstrate, this is one versatile shoe. I wonder if any use Zoe as their stylists.

Anyways, it’s time for you to vote in the latest shoe showdown. Who do you think rocked Brian Atwood’s Lola shoes the best - Katy Perry, Megan Fox, Jessica Stroup, or Brookyn Decker?

House of Harlow Shoes from Nicole Richie

Nicole Richie already has a jewelry and clothing line. Today, we were happy to get a first look at the latest addition to Nicole’s fashion empire, specifically House of Harlow 1960 shoes! Judging from the initial sneak peaks, the shoes, as with the rest of the line, continues to be inspired by Nicole’s love of the 1960s and 70s. It’s easy to imagine Nicole actually wearing the bohemian looking footwear which consists of geometric patterns and tribal looking shapes.

What do you think of this line? Would you buy these shoes when they arrive in 2010 and at what price point?

Louboutin Dresses Barbie

Back in September, Twinkletoes reported on Barbie’s 50th birthday show and bubble gum pink Louboutin shoes designed for the lucky doll. The collaboration is not limited to just the shoes though. WWD reports that Christian Louboutin will serve as Barbie’s godfather for the next few months and that means an entire series of Barbie/Louboutin-centric products, including a diary that showcases Barbie and Louboutin on various adventures around the world:
